A Brief Overview
The Physician Assistant will work under the collaboration of a physician and will be responsible to provide acute care evaluation, medical treatment for the patient as well as patient education and counseling.

What you will do 

  • Inpatient rounds including daily notes, orders (including inpatient and PACU). Checking labs, pathology, CXR, consultations, admissions and discharge summaries and prescriptions.
  • Conduct inpatient consultations
  • Conduct outpatient consultations to include history, physical examinations, ordering lab, pathology, and/or patient records with dictations.
  • Review of pre-operative record to include evaluations, lab, pathology, consultations and work-ups.
  • Assist with the coordination of the operating room schedule
  • Colposcopy and other office based procedures
  • Responsible for taking call on selected weekends and weekdays.
  • All duties and responsibilities as listed above with the addition of OR surgical assistance with robotic and selected open/laparoscopic cases.



Education Qualifications 

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program, and be board certified as a Physician Assistant. Required


Experience Qualifications 

  • 1-3 years Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications 

  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required and
  • PA - Physician Assistant Upon Hire Required
