Nutrition Assistant

A Brief Overview
Under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian and Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Nutrition Assistant performs a variety of duties pertaining to the delivery of high quality, personalized nutritional care to all patients. The Nutrition Assistant is responsible for upholding and enforcing standards and policies as set forth by the hospital and the department.

What you will do

  • Daily operations oversight of all aspect’s main kitchen tray assembly, portioning and staff assignments for tray assembly, filling unfilled positions due to unplanned absenteeism and portioning staff coordination with Manager of Operations.
  • Coordinating services with culinary and cold production team
  • Maintains infection control and quality control procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with labeling, portioning and product storage and handling guidelines.
  • Patient satisfaction liaison with Patient Services Manager
  • Completes a work assignment (daily) in addition to oversight



Education Qualifications

  • High School Required or
  • Equivalent with Culinary Certification/Background Required



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Very strong leader and exceptional work ethic
  • Worked in all phases of tray assembly, portioning and preparation, culinary.


Licenses and Certifications

  • Culinary certification or past experience/recommendations Upon Hire Required
