Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Physician Revenue Cycle to lead and optimize our physician billing and collections processes. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle, from patient registration through billing and collections, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and maximum revenue capture. Revenue Cycle is comprised of both on-shore and off-shore teams and travel to India will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Direct and manage the physician revenue cycle team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective operations and team development.
Strategy Development: Develop and implement revenue cycle strategies to improve efficiency, reduce denials, and enhance cash flow.
Process Improvement: Analyze current processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, leading initiatives to streamline operations and increase revenue.
Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track revenue cycle performance, making data-driven decisions to enhance operations.
Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, clinical staff, and other departments to ensure accurate documentation, coding, and billing practices.
Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and organizational policies to minimize risk and enhance revenue integrity.
Training and Development: Develop training programs for staff on billing procedures, coding updates, and best practices in revenue cycle management.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on revenue cycle performance to senior leadership, identifying challenges and recommending solutions
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, business, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of physician billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), payer reimbursement models, and revenue cycle best practices.
