A Brief Overview
The Director of Operations for Health Partner Services (HPS) will lead the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives of a large physician network. This role is responsible for optimizing workflows, increasing patient access, managing leased physician groups, and ensuring the seamless delivery of services across the network. The Director will collaborate with clinical leadership, administrative teams, and external partners to drive operational excellence, improve patient volume, reduce patient leakage, and enhance overall service delivery transparency. The position requires a hands-on leader who can manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
What you will do
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the operational management of the physician network, ensuring that all practices and service lines function efficiently and in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Patient Access and Volume Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase patient access to care, including expanding appointment availability, reducing wait times, and optimizing clinic schedules. Drive initiatives to grow patient volume across all service lines.
- Management of Leased Physician Groups: Oversee the operations and performance of leased physician groups, ensuring that their services are fully integrated into the network and aligned with HPS standards. Work closely with these groups to optimize resource utilization and ensure adherence to contractual agreements.
- Referral Management and Reducing Leakage: Create and implement systems to track and minimize patient leakage to outside providers. Work with clinical teams to enhance internal referral processes and capture patient volume within the network.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency, improve patient experience, and increase provider productivity. Leverage data and analytics to track progress and refine strategies.
- Service Line Performance: Collaborate with department heads and clinical leaders to ensure the operational effectiveness of all service lines. Monitor key performance metrics such as patient access, service volume, and revenue growth.
- Transparency and Reporting: Ensure operational transparency by providing regular updates to hospital leadership, physician groups, and external stakeholders on performance metrics, service volumes, and operational improvements.
- Provider Relations: Foster strong relationships with physicians and practice managers to ensure operational alignment and address any barriers to efficient care delivery.
- Compliance & Accreditation: Ensure that operational activities comply with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards. Conduct regular audits to maintain high levels of quality and compliance.
- Patient Satisfaction: Work to continuously improve patient satisfaction by optimizing appointment scheduling, reducing wait times, and ensuring timely, effective communication between staff and patients.
- Staff Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor operational staff, promoting a culture of collaboration and high performance. Ensure that staff are trained and empowered to drive operational improvements and patient care excellence.
- Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT teams to improve the utilization of EMRs, scheduling systems, and patient portals, enhancing operational efficiency and patient engagement.
- Resource Optimization: Partner with finance and clinical leaders to ensure optimal use of resources, including staffing, equipment, and facility space, to reduce costs and enhance service delivery.

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required
- Master's Degree MBA or MHA preferred
Experience Qualifications
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in healthcare operations management, with at least 3-5 years in a physician network or MSO setting required
- Demonstrated experience in managing physician group operations, including leased group integration
- Proven track record in driving operational efficiencies and increasing patient access and volume
