A Brief Overview

Responsible for the application and of all cardiac and respiratory monitors devices and for the interpretation of the cardiac rhythms displayed. Print and file all reports as well as make CD's for procedures for patient, physician and hospital use. Maintain all State DOH data as required.


What you will do

  • Performs monitoring procedures, apply ECG-NIBP-02 Sat cables. Recognize alarms promptly and report alarms to the RN
  • Perform 12 lead EKG as requested
  • Report rhythm changes to RN/MD immediately
  • Recognize equipment inconsistencies and report for equipment check.
  • Correctly enter patient data into monitoring system and state DOH database.
  • Consistently prepare catheterization reports after dictation is complete by MD and assist with making CD copies for other MDs, hospital and patients.
  • Actively participate in scheduled in-service programs yearly and identify other educational needs and seek to fulfill these needs.
  • Assist with orientation of new personnel to the unit.


Education Qualifications

  • High School High School Diploma or equivalency. required


Experience Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a monitor or tele tech preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Monitor Technician skills
