A Brief Overview
The Director of the Institute of Clinical Research at Holy Name Medical Center leads the strategic, and operational aspects of the organization's research initiatives. This role involves fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration to advance clinical research aligned with Holy Name's mission. The Director is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the Institute, enhancing its research capabilities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Director of the Institute of Clinical Research provides administrative leadership and will be responsible for effective planning, oversight, and coordination of research projects within Holy Name. This position provides support for the expansion of research programs, ensures effective coordination of research, and monitors the progress and performance of all aspects of assigned areas of responsibility, including responsive interactions with state and federal partners, compliance with regulatory requirements, budgetary oversight, including monitoring and tracking projects; grant and contract development and negotiations; and, project reporting. The Director of Research must be able to organize complex projects, provide attention to detail, and communicate effectively. They manage the day-to-day research operations and objectives in support of assigned projects, ensure effective and efficient workflows, and adhere to quality standards for staff, program, and self. This position maintains a working knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations and the Code of Conduct for human research and works with other groups responsible for information technology support, data management, regulatory compliance, and professional development.
