A Brief Overview

Assists management with daily operations of the Environmental Services Department. Provides support across all three shifts, 7 days per week. Fulfills supervisory capacities in the supervisor's absence.


What you will do

  • Interact with coworkers, patients and visitors with compassion, courtesy and a professional customer focused manner
  • Instruct and train employees in use of cleaning materials and equipment
  • Act on behalf of supervisor
  • Maintain the highest possible quality standards for the Hospital
  • Assist with scheduling and work assignments
  • Provide input on employee evaluations
  • Ensure staff is compliant with routine procedures for chemical use, cleaning and care of equipment
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the hospital. Recommends projects, painting, improvements or repairs to improve appearance and efficiency
  • Control use of supplies, equipment and personnel to optimum efficiency
  • Observe staff at work to ensure instructions and safety rules are complied with
  • Assist in special projects and research to update techniques or study cost savings to improve sanitation or efficiency
  • Attend meetings and seminars to further enhance professional skills
  • Keep written record of rooms and other areas of the hospital that have been cleaned
  • Ensure all waste is properly disposed

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or equivalent Required


Experience Qualifications

  • 1-3 years Minimum one year of experience as an Environmental Services Associate Required


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills (High proficiency)
